"Legendary" conversation between Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Hideaki Anno Yoshikazu Yasuhiko published in "Young Jump"

A conversation between Yasuhiko Yoshikazu, a manga artist known for his character designs for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam, and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko Hideaki Anno , known for the Evangelion series, was published in the 33rd issue of the manga magazine Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha), released on July 17th. The "legendary" conversation took place on May 24th at the Aomori Museum of Art (Aomori City), where Yasuhiko's retrospective exhibition "Yasuhiko Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the Artist" was held, and will be published under the title "The Strange Bond that Connected the Masters - Yasuhiko Yoshikazu x Hideaki Anno Ultra Absolute Talk."

This was the third time Yasuhiko and Anno have had a dialogue, and it caused a big stir, with the participation lottery being the highest in the history of the Aomori Museum of Art. They talked about their relationship as "grandchild disciples," the influence that Yasuhiko had on Anno, and the impact that Yasuhiko had when he saw Anno's anime. There was a lot of content, including Anno's impressions of "Yasuhiko Yoshikazu Yasuhiko the Artist" and the "Mobile Suit Gundam" movie trilogy that was screened that day.

The exhibition is being held at the Tomakomai City Museum of Art (Tomakomai, Hokkaido) until August 31. It will also be held at the Kushiro City Museum of Art (Kushiro, Hokkaido), the Shibuya Ward Shoto Museum of Art (Shibuya, Tokyo), and the Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art (Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture). Yasuhiko is currently serializing the manga "Silver Road - Handa Ginzan Ibun" in "Weekly Young Jump".
