A new character relationship chart for the NHK morning drama " Anpan " starring Mio Imada(General Asadora , Monday to Saturday 8:00am, etc.) has been released on the drama's official website. The relationship chart for the 16th week "Live for fun" starting on July 14th, features the "return" of Yagi Shinnosuke, played by Tsumabuki Satoshi Tsumabuki , and Sokichi Yamura , played by Sadao Abe , who also appeared in the preview for that week.
During the war, Yagi was a corporal in the Kokura regiment to which Takashi (played by Takumi Kitamura) belonged. He was concerned about Takashi, who was unable to adapt to the military, and would occasionally lend him a helping hand. After the war, he unexpectedly reunited with Takashi, and came to have a major impact on the lives of Nobu (played by Imada) and Takashi.
Meanwhile, Kusakichi is a mysterious man who suddenly appeared in Kochi when Nobu was a child. He is strict about money and has a bad mouth, but he is a skilled baker. At Nobu's request, he becomes a baker at "Asada Bread". He stayed at the Asada family for many years, but something happened during the war that caused him to leave the family and his whereabouts are unknown.
Furthermore, while Yagi has taken off his military uniform, Kusakichi's appearance has not changed at all.
Other new characters added to the character relationship chart include Maki Tetsuko, played by Toda Keiko, and Sera Norio, played by Kihara Katsutoshi, who will make their full appearance from the 16th week.
Tetsuko is a member of parliament from Kochi whom Nobu meets. She is a fast-paced person who moves ahead at a faster pace than Nobu, and has a strong belief in "reaching out to those in a weaker position." She will later have a major impact on Nobu's life.
Sera is an office assistant who devotedly supports Tetsuko. She is trusted for her quick and accurate work.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
