NHK's new program "Intellectual Pursuit Frontier: Tamori and Yamanaka Shinya's!?", starring entertainer Tamori and Professor Yamanaka Shinya, Honorary Director of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, Kyoto University, will begin on July 12th. This new intellectual entertainment program will thoroughly explore the cutting edge of a world filled with excitement = "!" and curiosity = "?". The first episode will have the theme "Will AI surpass humans?" and will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 7:30 pm on the 12th.
The program covers the cutting edge of intellectual exploration in chemistry, medicine, space, history, and more. In the first episode, they attempt to create "laughter" using the latest AI that will greatly change the future. How will Tamori perceive the "laughter" created by AI? The cutting edge of AI development is asking the question, "What is a human being?"
Actor Riho Yoshioka will also appear as the show's MC. The host will be Takashi Yoshimura of the comedy duo "Heisei Nobushi Kobushi." Yoshimura, who has 25 years of showbiz experience, will be taking on the challenge of creating his first skit using AI.
