It has been announced that the TV anime series "Invisible Man and Human Woman: The Two Who Will Become a Couple Someday," based on Iwatobi Neko's romantic comedy manga, will be broadcast in 2026. It has also been announced that Yohei Azakami will play the protagonist, Tonome Akira, and Nukui Yuka Nukui will play the heroine, Yoka Shizuka.
The work is a heartwarming romantic comedy about two people who are attracted to each other: Akira Tonome, an invisible gentleman, and Shizuka Yoko, a blind, gentle human woman. The anime is directed by Mitsuho Seta and produced by Project No.9. A PV that gives a glimpse into the love story between the two "invisible" people has also been released.
Azagami commented, "Actually, this is the second time I've played this role... Previously, there was a project on a TV program where we did dubbing for manga frames, and coincidentally the subject was "The Invisible Man and the Human Woman." That was the first time I came into contact with the original work, and although I had only a few lines, I was able to play Tonogan. I was fascinated by the warm and gentle atmosphere of the work and thought, "I hope someday it will be made into an anime so I can play Tonogan," and I was honored to be entrusted with the role, so I felt it was fate. Personally, I value what can be felt more than what can be seen, and that is why I approached the dubbing for this work. I would be happy if even a little of the warmth that is conveyed can reach everyone through the work. I would appreciate your support."
Nukui said, "This is a work that I have always loved...! I absolutely wanted to be in the role, so I went to the audition. I am really happy...and honored. Yoko is a pure-hearted, playful, and sulky girl who tends to be a little delusional because she has never been in love before...she is a very loveable woman. The recording for this work was done using a pre-scoring method, where the video is created after the audio is recorded. So, together with the cast, I was able to feel more deeply the distance between our hearts, the atmosphere, and things that cannot be "seen" by the eyes, and it was a lot of fun and excitement to face them. I want you to "feel" the heart-warming love between Tounogan and Yoko, the fun times they have with everyone at the detective agency, and the world that surrounds them to the fullest! Please watch over the warm and precious time woven by these two "invisible" people."
