On July 7, Ryusei Onishi of the popular group " Naniwa Danshi " attended a press conference held in Tokyo for the drama series " Noh Mask Prosecutor " starring Takaya Kamikawa , which will begin on July 11 (TV Tokyo, Friday 9pm, the first episode will be 15 minutes longer). Onishi, who appeared in a suit from his role, spoke about his "beliefs as an idol."
In reference to the character of the protagonist Fuwa Shuntaro, played by Kamikawa, Onishi was asked "What is your unwavering belief?" to which he replied, "It may be the nature of my job, but as an idol I have many opportunities to be photographed. Among those, I believe that I want to look good and confident even in private."
Onishi said, "Even when I'm hanging out with friends, we suddenly take photos together. But I always check my bangs first. I say, 'Wait a moment!' before taking the photo. That's a belief I have as an idol."
In addition to Onishi, Kamikawa, Yoshitani Ayako, Mizuki Arisa, and Terawaki Yasufumi also attended the press conference.
The series is based on the same-titled novel by Shichiri Nakayama, who is also known as the "King of Plot Twists." It is a legal mystery in which Fuwa Shuntaro, the ace prosecutor at the Osaka District Public Prosecutors Office, played by Kamikawa, uncovers the truth behind cases without any consideration for the higher-ups at the prosecution or the police. Each episode develops a social theme depicting the dark side of Japanese society on the horizontal axis, and further depicts an exhilarating story that exposes the police organization's tendency to cover up and the prosecution organization's bureaucratic nature on the vertical axis.
