It has been revealed that the fourth season of the TV anime "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War", based on the final chapter of the popular manga "BLEACH" by Tite Kubo, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), titled "Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War- Kashintan", will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks in 2026. The final season, "The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc", will be broadcast in four seasons, with "Kashintan" being the final season. A teaser visual depicting an awakened Ichigo Kurosaki facing the final battle has been released.
Original author Kubo commented, "I'm sure there are many fans who thought it would be broadcast this year, but I'm sorry it will not be next year. Please wait a little longer until next year. I believe we can make it a good one."
General director Taguchi Tomohisa commented, "There's nothing more to say at this point. Stay tuned! Keep your eyes peeled for the final chapter!"
Director Murata Hikaru said, "I apologize for keeping you waiting for the final season of the anime, 'BLEACH: The Thousand-Year Blood War.' I feel a spiritual pressure every day from fans asking, 'What will happen to that?' and 'How will that scene be portrayed?' but all of our staff are racking their brains and working hard on the production so that we can exceed those expectations in a good way. Unfortunately I cannot reveal any details about the content. But if I had to pick a keyword for the final season, it would be this one word: 'Bankai!' I hope you will wait a little longer until the broadcast."
"BLEACH" is a manga that depicts Ichigo Kurosaki, who has acquired the powers of a Shinigami, fighting evil spirits called Hollows with his friends and embarking on an adventure across other worlds. It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2001 to 2016 and became one of the magazine's most popular works.
The TV anime series aired from 2004 to 2012, and four animated films were released, as well as a live-action film starring Sota Fukushi in 2018. The Thousand-Year Blood War arc will be broadcast in four seasons, with the first season airing from October to December 2022, the second season from July to September 2023, and the third season from October to December 2024.
