The first episode of "Ultraman Omega," a new special effects drama in the "Ultraman" series, will air on TV Tokyo on July 5th, and it has been revealed that Maki Shunichi and Megumi Han will appear as regular voice actors. Maki will voice Masaru Tange, also known as "Masa-san," who is the personality on the radio program "Masaru Tange's Everyday is Trendy" in the drama, and Han will voice Sanagouchi Remi, an assistant on the same program.
Maki voiced Dargon, one of the Three Titans of Darkness, in Ultraman Trigger, which aired in 2021. Regarding his appearance in the new work, he commented, "I am truly happy to be involved in the Ultraman series again. Together with my assistant Remi-chan, played by Megumi Han, I really feel like I'm doing a radio show, and I have fun every time I record...I'm so excited. Personally, there are times when I just have fun and laugh and talk normally, so I'm not sure how much of it will be used (laughs), but I hope you will enjoy this along with the wonderful main story."
Pan voiced the character Pegasus Alien Pegasus in "Ultraman Geed" broadcast in 2017, and has also appeared in the anime "ULTRAMAN" and the web drama "Ultra Galaxy Fight." He said of his appearance in the new work, "I'm back after a long time under the name of Ultra! I'm honored to be offered this kind of role. Together with Shunichi Maki, who plays Masa-san, I will be delivering the radio program "Masaru Tange's Everyday is Trendy" in a community-based format! Even though we have a solid script, there are also miraculous moments that are born from each other's feelings. I hope to be able to get close to everyone from the perspective of radio. Now, this time it's a big giant with a bright red face! Come on, everyone, put your hands up together! Let's cheer on the new hero together! "
The main character of "Ultraman Omega" is Okida Sorato, an alien (Ultraman) who suddenly falls from the sky onto an Earth where there are no heroes or monsters. Sorato transforms into Ultraman Omega and fights monsters, and becomes a partner with the Earthling Hoshimi Kosei, and the series explores the question, "Why does Ultraman protect the Earth?" Takei Masayoshi, known for "Ultraman R/B" and "Ultraman Decker," is the main director, with Nemoto Toshizo and Ashiki Junichiro in charge of series composition. Actor Shori Kondo plays the main character, Sorato. The series airs every Saturday at 9am on TV Tokyo.
