Actor Mitsuomi Takahashi recently attended a press conference for the TV drama series "Revenge Spy " (Saturdays at 11pm, starting July 5th) held at TV Asahi (Minato Ward, Tokyo). He shared his memories of a tragic love affair from his high school days.
When asked what he would like to get revenge on, in reference to the title of the film, Takahashi reminisced about his high school days, saying, "I confessed to one girl six times and was rejected six times, which was a miserable time in my youth, so I would like to come back and try again in a different way... a seventh time."
When the host expressed surprise, "Even Takahashi...!", he replied with a wry smile, "I guess my approach was strange." In the previous talk, Takahashi mentioned that his pectoral muscles "evolve" every time he comes to the set, and lead actor Kazuya Ohashi of " Naniwa Danshi " followed up by saying, "If we could go back in time, we would appeal to our chests next time!"
The drama is a romantic comedy about a young man, Yuga Sugawara (played by Ohashi), who is searching for the culprit who stole important information from his late brother, and falls in love with Hana Imuta (played by Shibuya Nagisa), the daughter of the president of Imuta Medical Data, a company he infiltrates as a spy to gather evidence. Takahashi plays Sakurakoji Sho, the popular man and managing director of Imuta Medical Data.
