A part of the set list for "Disney Broadway Hits feat. Alan Menken supported by Disney★JCB Card," which will be held for three days from July 1st to 3rd at Tokyo International Forum Hall A (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and is sponsored by WOWOW and others, was released on June 17th. In addition, an interview video with Disney music master Alan Menken, who will be appearing in the show, and Harry Sugiyama, a talent who will be the MC, was released on the WOWOW official YouTube channel.
Tickets for the performance have already sold out, but it has been decided at short notice that additional tickets will be available for sale - SS seats with open equipment and SS seats with annotations (seats that make it difficult to see the performers and some of the production) - and they will go on sale on Rakuten Tickets from noon on June 18th. Both will cost 20,000 yen.
"Disney Broadway Hits" has been performed at Boston Symphony Hall in the United States and the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, and has been held in Japan three times in the past.
The performance is divided into two acts. The first act is a piano solo stage by Menken, who will sing and play famous songs from classics such as "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," and "The Little Mermaid."
In the second act, Carla Lindsay and Josh Strickland will perform a duet of "A Whole New World" from Disney's timeless classic "Aladdin." Four Broadway cast members will sing a medley of songs from "Frozen."
In addition, Lindsay, Michael James Scott, and Kissy Simmons will perform "A Step Too Far" from "Aida." This will be the first time this song will be performed at a Japanese concert. In addition, Japanese guest Taiga Kyomoto will perform "Go the Distance" from "Hercules" with Scott and Strickland.
