Actor and singer Akira Terao will appear on the BS12 TwellV program "Tsurube-chan and Sawako-chan: Showa's Great Senpai and the Strange Two," which will be broadcast from 9:00 pm on June 16th. He will talk about the teachings he received as an actor from his father, Jukichi Uno, a leading figure in the theater world, and the pressures and struggles of being a second-generation actor, topics that he can only talk about now.
Each episode of the show features guests from the Showa era, including Tsurube, who has 52 years of show business experience, and Agawa, who has 40 years of experience, who are called "Tsurube-chan" and "Sawako-chan."
In addition to talking about what led Terao to join Ishihara Productions and the story behind the creation of "Ruby Ring," the song that is synonymous with him as a singer, Terao will also talk about his experiences, from his meeting with director Akira Kurosawa to the legend of Kurosawa as "the global Kurosawa."
In addition, he will also talk about Tori Matsuzaka, who inspired him to appear in the currently-showing film "My Father and I's Never-Ending Song."
