It was revealed on June 13th that actor Joe Odagiri will be making a guest appearance in the final episode (broadcast on June 13th) of the TV drama series "Mamono（Monster）" starring Kumiko Aso(TV Asahi, Friday 11:15pm *excluding some areas).
Odagiri and Aso are "allies" who co-starred in the "Prescription Police" series (TV Asahi) which aired from 2006 to 2019, and will reunite in the same "Friday Night Drama" slot. Odagiri's role and appearance scenes will be revealed during the broadcast.
◇Comments from Joe Odagiri and Kumiko Aso
-What was it like working together this time?
Aso: This is the first time I've worked with Odagiri-san since we worked together on the film "Oliver the Dog, (Gosh!!) This Guy" last summer. Thank you so much.
Odagiri: I heard that Aso-san was putting a lot of effort into the filming, so I thought I'd go and have a look... But I was a little embarrassed (laughs).
Aso: As you said, it's a production that we're very passionate about, so I'm very happy and encouraged that you agreed to appear in it!
-Please tell us how you decided to appear in the film.
Odagiri: Aso-san is such a family member to me that I feel embarrassed and can't watch any of his films. This "Demon" film is also a little creepy, and I look away.
Aso: That's right...it's embarrassing when your family members are involved in unexpected scenes like this or that (laughs).
Odagiri: That's why I said, "Call me if you need me," but when I got the offer, I thought, "They're serious about this" (laughs).
Aso: ...Wait a minute! You told me to call you myself (laughs)! But I'm really grateful that you came as promised.
