Ayumu Nakajima , who has been getting a lot of attention for his role as the heroine's husband, Jiro Wakamatsu , in the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General), has been revealed to be appearing in Fuji TV's drama series "School of love." (Thursdays at 10pm), which will begin in July. He will play Kawahara Yoji, the boyfriend of the main character, high school teacher Ogawa Manami ( Fumino Kimura). He is a "high-spec guy" who graduated from a top university and works at a major bank, and he and Manami were introduced by each other's fathers, almost forcibly dating. The story is set to feature a "secret" that even Manami doesn't know about.
The drama tells the love story of a high school teacher, Manami, and a popular host, Kaworu, played by Snow Man's Raul, who meet and are attracted to each other despite the great distance between them.
Nakajima said of the film, "I thought it was unusual that so few good people appeared. And I couldn't tell what was going to happen." Regarding his character Kawahara, he said, "He's a really strange, dangerous character who leaves no room for sympathy, but I'm working hard to make him seem human. I'd be even better off if he also came across as comical."
He also appealed to viewers, saying, "The characters in this drama are all delinquents who are honest about their feelings (laughs). Watching them may be painful or distressing, but I would be happy if you find it satisfying beyond that."
Also appearing in the film were Minami Tanaka, Ryo, Mariko Tsutsui, Yoshi Sakou, and Ikki Sawamura. Tanaka will play Momoko Machida, Manami's best friend since high school, Ryo will play Nao Kosaka, Kaworu's mother, Tsutsui will play Sanae Ogawa, Manami's mother, Sakamoto will play Seiji Ogawa, Manami's father, and Sawamura will play Kojiro Matsuura, the president of the host club where Kaworu works.
