It has been announced that Mitsuru Hattori's manga "Wash It All Away", which is currently being serialized in "Young Gangan" (Square Enix), will be adapted into an anime in 2026. Kenta Onishi will be the director, Douko Machida will be in charge of series composition and scriptwriting, and Azuma Tozawa will be in charge of character design. It will be produced by Okuruto Noboru. Sayumi Suzushiro will play Kaneme Watanaka, who runs a dry cleaning shop called Kinme Cleaning in the seaside town of Atami. A teaser visual featuring Kaneme Watanaka has also been released.
Suzushiro commented, "When I first read the original work, I was moved by the beautiful illustrations of the city of Atami by Hattori-sensei, and the depth of the business of dry cleaning, which I knew nothing about. I remember feeling happy the day after I received the news that I passed the audition, and taking my clothes to the dry cleaners for the first time in a long time. It is the only dry cleaning that Kaname-san, who has lost his memory, remembers. I can't take my eyes off the people and stories that he meets through the dry cleaning! I will do my best in the role, so I hope you will enjoy it!"
The story is set in Atami, a seaside town with hot springs, and follows the story of a cheerful, hardworking girl named Kaneme Watanaka, who loves hot springs and runs a small dry cleaning shop, and the people around her, weaving together a joyful and sorrowful story. Ten volumes of the comic have been released.
