The 62nd Galaxy Awards Ceremony was held in Tokyo on June 2nd, and the NHK Asadora drama series "The Tiger and Her Wings," starring actress Sari Ito, won the grand prize in the TV category of the awards.
At the awards ceremony, production manager Hirokazu Ozaki and screenwriter Erika Yoshida appeared. Regarding the line "Huh?" uttered by the main character Torako, Yoshida said, "From the planning stage, she was talking about all kinds of anger. The line 'Huh?' came out naturally as a soft, yet powerful phrase about how to share the anger we feel every day."
Ozaki expressed her gratitude to Ito, saying, "I thought that Ito would make a great Torako, and I think she did a truly wonderful job portraying Torako."
When asked about the possibility of a sequel or spin-off, he said, "We would like to do it within the team. We've talked about it, but I would like to be able to take responsibility and make sure everything is in order. I'll do my best!"
"The Tiger and Her Wings" is an original story based on the life of Yoshiko Mibuchi (1914-1984), Japan's first female lawyer and later a judge. The heroine and her friends carved out a path in difficult times, helping lost children and those who were cornered.
