The drama series " Taigan no Kaji ~Kore ga, Watashi no Ikiru Michi~ " (TBS, Tuesdays 10pm), in which actress Mikako Tabe plays the lead role, has now wrapped up, and she tearfully expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm really happy to have been able to take part in this series!"
Based on the novel "Taigan no Kaji" ( Taigan no Kaji) by Kiko Akano (Kodansha Bunko), the play depicts the "endless work" of housework through the protagonist's interactions with "people on the other side" who have different positions and ways of thinking.
With the final episode on June 3rd just around the corner, Tabe, Noriko Eguchi, Dean Fujioka, Wataru Ichinose, Naoto Ogata, and Tanaka Misako have wrapped up filming, and comments from Tabe, Eguchi, and Dean Fujioka have arrived.
◇ Mikako Tabe
Filming a serial drama was really tough. But the staff worked so hard, on hot and cold days alike, and I admired them every day. As the leader of the cast, I was always thinking about what I could have done differently, but I am so happy to have been able to participate in this project as a colleague of each and every one of the staff members whom I respect. Thank you so much for all your hard work!!
◇ Noriko Eguchi
Thank you very much. Although there were many things that happened, it was a lot of fun working with everyone. It was a scene where I was reminded that a drama is something that everyone works together to create. I would be happy to meet you again somewhere.
◇Dean Fujioka
I feel really glad that I was able to be involved in this production. I learned so much through playing the role of Nakatani Tatsuya. I have often wondered what it would have been like if I had taken parental leave, and it gave me a chance to think directly about how we live today and how we raise children in modern society, and it gave me many realizations.
When we first met, Karen could barely speak, but when she arrived on set today, she was able to speak very clearly, and I was touched to see how much she's grown over the past three or four months and how she's really living in this moment. I'm truly grateful to have had the opportunity to spend those days with everyone. Thank you so much.
