The sixth episode of the TV drama series "PJ: Air Rescue Team" (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9pm), starring actor Seiyo Uchino, aired on May 29th, and the average viewership rating (Kanto region, according to Video Research, below) was 6.2% for households and 3.5% for individuals.
The drama is set in the Air Self-Defense Force's Air Rescue Wing, commonly known as PJ (Pararescue Jumper), an elite rescue unit known as the "last line of defense for saving lives." The story depicts trainees aiming to become PJ members undergoing rigorous training under the strict and unconventional head instructor, Seiji Usami (Uchino).
In the sixth episode, Fujiki Sayaka (Anna Ishii) is accused of quitting because Usami pushed her to the brink, and the training unit leader Horikoshi Shoichi (Shishido Kai) tells Usami to take a break. Oyama Junichi (Hidekazu Mashima) is put in charge of the training, but the students are shocked by Usami's absence and have difficulty concentrating. At the same time, a large-scale disaster caused by a linear rain band occurs in Nagano Prefecture... and so the story unfolds.
