◇Comment from Rei Yasuda
I wrote the lyrics for the opening theme "Hikari no Sumika (Home of Light)". After reading the original work, Ruri-chan and Nagi-san explained to me again why I feel the power of natural stones that I wear every day like a talisman. In this song, I superimposed the eternal time it takes for such gemstones to be born and the mysterious and miraculous process woven by nature onto myself, and wrote the lyrics comparing the strong will to find and reach "what you are lacking" and "proof of being alive" even if it takes time, to a "gemstone." I can't wait for the summer adventure (broadcast) to begin!
◇Comment from Hana Hope
There is still a lot we don't know about this world. I felt a strong sense of sympathy for the main character, Tanigawa Ruri, who is filled with both anxiety and curiosity about this world. As if guided by a burning desire deep in her heart, she can already see the path she wants to take. But that path is shrouded in darkness, and it takes courage to take that first step. Whether singing or collecting minerals, the most important thing is friends. It is because of friends that she is able to learn that the darkness is not something to be afraid of. That darkness is simply a place that has not yet been illuminated by the light of curiosity. By gaining a new perspective in this way, our world opens up.
The shining gaze when you are engrossed in something is unique and incomparable to anyone else. There are many different gems and minerals, each beautiful, unique, and individual. And each of us is also beautiful and unique in our own way. That's why it's okay to let out the light within yourself. I wrote this song, "Sapphire," with the light I envision. I would be happy if this wonderful piece, "Ruri no Hoseki," could become a part of everyone's light.
