The 36th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on May 19th, and featured voice actor Nakao Ryusei, known for his role as Baikinman in the anime series "Soreike! Anpanman".
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobuyuki (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas and arrived at "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In episode 36, Nobu (Imada) has been a teacher at his alma mater, Gomenyo Elementary School, for a year and a half. He has been instilling patriotism in his students.
Meanwhile, Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) is supposed to be working hard on his graduation project, but he spends his days sighing. Unable to bear it any longer, Kentaro (Fumiya Takahashi) speaks harsh words to him, telling him to forget about Nobu. Meanwhile, Nobu receives several marriage proposals. Nobu is still reluctant to think about marriage, wanting to teach his children about it...
Nakao plays Furuyama Tokizo, the principal of Gomenyo Elementary School, and there is a scene where he praises Nobu, saying, "I heard that the students under Mr. Asada's care are developing a patriotic spirit without any hesitation. In other words, there is no hesitation in Mr. Asada's guidance. He is the very epitome of patriotism!"
On the other hand, she began by saying, "I'm sure you'd like to get married soon and give birth to a healthy boy for your country," and encouraged her to get married and have children, saying, "You're 20 this year. Getting married and having strong children would be a great service to you as a woman on the home front. When that time comes, please don't ask me for advice. That's all I want to tell you today."
Nakao-san appeared about one minute into the drama, and on social media, viewers were initially skeptical, asking, "Baikinman?", "Huh? Lord Frieza?", "Nakao Ryusei? Principal Baikinman?". Then, when the opening credits showed a caption reading "Furuyama Tokizou Nakao Ryusei", the audience got excited, saying, "It's Nakao-san after all", "Oh, it really was Nakao Ryusei", "I thought I heard Nakao Ryusei's voice but it was the principal", "The principal is Nakao Ryusei", "Oh, Mr. Nakao Ryusei is here!", "It's Baikinman!", and "Baikinman is here!"
