It has been announced that Takara (now Takara Tomy)'s toy "Microman," which was popular mainly in the 1970s and 1980s, will be revived. It will be released as the first in Takara Tomy's "LEGACYSOUL" series, which adds new mechanisms to popular products from the past and refines them for a more modern look.
"Microman" is a domestically produced movable figure that was created in 1974. On May 14th, new products were exhibited at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show" (sponsored by the Shizuoka Model Teaching Materials Cooperative), a model exhibition that opened at Twin Messe Shizuoka (Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City). "Super B-Daman", the second in the "LEGACYSOUL" series, was also unveiled.
The Shizuoka Hobby Show is an exhibition that has been held since 1959 in Shizuoka City, where many model makers' factories are located. This year's show will be held from May 14th to 18th, with the 17th and 18th being open to the public. Advance registration is required for admission.
