It has been announced that the comedy duo Downtown's signature show, Downtown DX (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV, Thursdays at 10pm), will end on June 26th. The show will end after 32 years since its debut in October 1993.
The show is a talk variety show hosted by Downtown, where the hosts explore the real faces of the guests through various conversations. Popular corners such as "Viewers Saw It!", where viewers share their sightings with the guests themselves, and "Stars' Private Clothes", where the guests' private clothes are ranked by price, have also attracted attention.
Yomiuri TV stated, "While we were considering the future of the program, the Downtown members conveyed to us through their agency that they were sorry for the inconvenience their hiatus had caused to many people involved, and after making a comprehensive judgment, we have decided to end the program."
