Newly taken photos and a handwritten profile of Yu Sato, a new 5th generation member joining the idol group Hinatazaka46, have been released.
Sato was born on September 10, 2006 and is 18 years old. She is from Fukuoka Prefecture. In her profile, she wrote, "I will cherish what my seniors and Ohisama (nickname for Hinatazaka46 fans) have protected, and will work wholeheartedly. I'm still inexperienced as an idol, but I would be happy if you would watch over me with a kind eye as I grow."
The 5th generation members were selected to join Hinatazaka46 after an audition held in August last year. Eleven members passed, but one declined, leaving just 10 in the end. The oldest is 20 years old, and the youngest is 15. The average age is 17.9 years old.
Starting at noon on March 24th, new photos and handwritten profiles will be released every day at noon for five consecutive days. She will also appear at the "6th Hina Birthday Festival" live concert to be held at Yokohama Stadium (Naka-ku, Yokohama) on April 5th and 6th.
