It has been announced that Fuji TV's anime slot "Noitamina" will be moving to 11:30pm on Fridays nationwide starting April 4th. Noitamina is Fuji TV's anime slot that began airing in 2005 and has been aired late at night for many years, but it will be moving in April this year, the 20th anniversary of its broadcast. The first work to be aired after the move will be the TV anime "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de", based on Atsuya Higashikawa's popular mystery novel, which will begin airing on April 4th.
Due to the move to Noitamina, variety shows that currently air from 11:00 p.m. on weekdays, including "Zenryoku! Datsuryoku Times," which is currently aired from 11:00 p.m. to 11:40 p.m. on Fridays, will have their broadcast times shortened by 10 minutes and changed to 11:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. from April.
"Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de" is set in Kunitachi, Tokyo, and is a full-scale mystery story of "butler detective x young lady detective" in which Hosho Reiko, a rookie detective at Kunitachi Police Station but the daughter of the world-famous Hosho Group, encounters a case that is solved by Kageyama, Reiko's butler and driver, who has a sharp deductive ability and sharp tongue. A drama series starring Sakurai Sho and Kitagawa Keiko was broadcast on Fuji TV from October to December 2011, and a movie was released in 2013. It has been adapted into a comic book, a stage play, and other media mix. The series has sold over 4.95 million copies in total.
The anime will be directed by Masuhara Mitsuyuki, known for "Ace of Diamond" and "Shirokuma Cafe", and produced by Madhouse. Kana Hanazawa will play Hosho Reiko, Yuki Kaji Yuki will play Kageyama, and Mamoru Miyano will play Kazamatsuri Kyoichiro, a police inspector at Kunitachi Police Station and Reiko's boss. It was also announced that the band "BILLY BOO" will perform the ending theme "Rhapsody". The first PV was released on YouTube, showcasing the song.
