The preview screening of the first part of the two-part film series "True Beauty: Before High School Debut Edition / After Proposal Edition" (directed by Hoshino Kazunari), starring model Koki, was held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi (Minato Ward, Tokyo) on February 12th. A pink carpet, the key color of the film, was laid out on the large staircase in front of the theater, and the gorgeous cast including Koki, Keisuke Watanabe, Keito Tsuna, Yuka Sugai, Emi Suzuki, and Kenjiro Tsuda, as well as director Hoshino, "descended."
The film is based on a Korean web comic by yaongyi. It tells the story of a girl who changes her life with makeup in order to realize the person she wants to be, and follows her love and dreams over a period of nine years from the age of 17 to 25.
The first part, "True Beauty Descends Before: High School Debut" will be released on March 20th, and the second part, "True Beauty Descends After: Proposal" will be released on May 1st.
