It has been announced that the new TV anime "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA", based on the manga "YAIBA" by Gosho Aoyama , who is known for " Detective Conan " and other works, will be broadcast on the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting April 5th. The same network broadcasts the TV anime " Detective Conan" every Saturday at 6 pm, and from April 5th, Saturday evenings will be turned into "Gosho Aoyama Hour", where two anime works based on Aoyama's original works will be broadcast consecutively.
A collaboration video between "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA" and "Detective Conan " was also released on YouTube. In the video , Yaiba Kurogane, played by Minami Takayama 's declaration of "You look like a samurai! You have the mind of a samurai too!!", Conan is shown stunned and responding, "So, you're a samurai..." A collaboration video of "Sayaka x Ran" will be released on the February 15 broadcast of " Detective Conan", and "Onimaru x Kogoro" on the February 22 broadcast.
"YAIBA" is a swordplay action manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, before Aoyama began serializing "Detective Conan". It depicts the exploits of Yaiba Kurogane, an unconventional young swordsman who trains in the jungle with his father. The story follows Tsubasa, who returns to Japan by chance and strives to become even stronger in his new training ground... This is the story. A total of 24 volumes of the comic have been released, with a total circulation of about 17 million copies.
The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Aoyama, and will be fully animated about 30 years after its completion. Following on from the TV anime "Yaiba: The Legend of Swordsman" that aired from 1993 to 1994, Takayama will play the main character, Yaiba. It will be produced by WIT STUDIO, known for "Attack on Titan" and "SPY×FAMILY".
