The sequel to the film "Fly Me to Saitama," which was released in 2023, "Fly Me to Saitama: With Love from Lake Biwa" (directed by Hideki Takeuchi), will be broadcast on terrestrial television for the first time on February 8th on Fuji TV's "Saturday Premium" slot (Saturday 9:00 p.m.).

Box office revenue was 2.38 billion yen, and the number of viewers exceeded 1.73 million.
A car is driving down a rural road in Saitama Prefecture. After a local Saitama song on the radio, the DJ begins to talk about urban legends about Saitama, part 2. Long ago, Saitama people, who were looked down upon by Tokyo, abolished travel passes after a spectacular farce, and peace came to the Kanto region. Asami Rei (GACKT) and Dannoura Momomi (Nikaido), leaders of the Saitama Liberation Front, are working to create even more peace. However, a problem emerges: Saitama people have little horizontal connection with each other.
In order to unite the hearts of the people of Saitama Prefecture, Ura comes up with a reckless plan to create a sea in Koshigaya. In order to bring back beautiful white sand, she leaves Momomi behind and heads out to sea for Shirahama in Wakayama Prefecture, but the ship is caught in a storm and wrecked, and Ura is washed ashore on the coast of Wakayama. There, Ura has a fateful encounter with Kikyo Kai (Ann), a member of the Shiga Liberation Front who is known as "Shiga's Oscar."
At that time, Kansai was under the control of Osaka Governor Akira Kajoji (played by Kataoka Ainosuke) and others, and people from Shiga, Wakayama, and Nara prefectures were treated inhumanely. Shirahama had become a resort area for Osakans, and those without a travel pass could not enter, and Princess Himegimi, the leader of the Wakayama Liberation Front, was held captive there.
Kikyo tries to rescue the princess, and Rei tries to rescue her friends who have been captured by Kajoji, but Rei also falls into Kajoji's hands. Rei, Kikyo, Momomi and the others find out that Kajoji is plotting a terrible plan, but will they be able to stop the rampaging Kajoji? This will develop into an unprecedented showdown between East and West that will involve the whole of Japan...
