It has been announced that an exhibition event called " UNBOUND Festival" will be held for the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) ", starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , which will start on January 5, 2025.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo, who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The story is billed as "a man of great talent who was born with nothing - no parents, no money, no artistic talent - but became the darling of his time as the 'media king of Edo.'"
In order to allow a wide range of generations from Japan and abroad to experience the world of " UNBOUND ," the " UNBOUND Festival" will exhibit costumes and props that appear in the drama, as well as off-shot photos that express the worldview of the show, at the "terminal" where many people come and go. It will disseminate the Japanese culture that Tsutaya Juzaburo built and the broadcasting culture of NHK.
The events will be held at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo) from January 11th to 13th, 2025, at JR Takamatsu Station (Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture) from January 24th to February 2nd, at Komukomu, a facility that nurtures children's dreams in Fukushima City (Waseda Town, Fukushima City) from the 15th to 24th, at NHK Yokohama Broadcasting Station on March 1st and 2nd, and at Nihon Odori Station on the Minatomirai Line (Naka Ward, Yokohama) on March 2nd.
