It has been announced that the TV anime series "A Forty-Something Man's Mail Order in Another World," based on the manga currently being serialized in the manga magazine "G Fantasy" (Square Enix), will begin airing in January 2025. The story revolves around Kenichi, a forty-something man who is suddenly transported to another world, and aims to live a slow life there by making full use of his cheat ability to use mail order websites. It has been revealed that additional cast members will include Hondo Kaede, Kuno Misaki, Tomita Miyu, and Kobayashi Yu. It was also announced that singer Asaka Asaka will perform the opening theme "GIVE & TAKE."
Hondo, who plays Primula, the eldest daughter of the Marou Company, commented, "I often use mail order services myself, so even though this work is set in another world, it somehow feels familiar to me. The work is a comic adaptation of a light novel by Hifumi Asakura, who is popular on the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist". Kenichi, a single man in his 40s, is suddenly transported to another world. As he makes his way through the dangerous forest of the other world, he realizes that he can use online shopping sites in modern Japan, and uses this cheat ability to start a life in the other world... This is how the story unfolds. The comic adaptation by Umi Haru has been serialized in "G Fantasy" since 2019. In the anime, voice actor Junichi Suwabe plays the main character Kenichi.
