It has been announced that a new project, "idol show time," will be launched for "Ai Shota Idol Show Time," a boy idol project with the theme of "boys played by female voice actors." Following "Ai Shota," the story will revolve around "etailes," an idol unit made up of only boys who have not yet had their voice change, and it was also announced that four new characters from the unit will be played by Kobayashi Sanae, Takeuchi Junko, Kumai Motoko, and Sanpei Yuuko. Key visuals featuring the new characters and a teaser PV were also released.
"Ai Shota" began in 2019 as an activity by voice actress Maruyama Yuka's personal circle, "Sakuraen-ya." Female voice actors express the charm of boys before their voices change, and the project has been developed into a CD release, merchandise sales, and comic book adaptation.
The new project will depict the struggles of the idols of "etailes," a group of slightly silly "pokakko" (idiots). Kobayashi will play 10-year-old Inuo Mahiro, Takeuchi will play 10-year-old Miyauchi Otohime, Kumai will play 10-year-old Oguchi Jyuraku, and Sanpei will play 12-year-old Konno Wakaba. There are plans to produce songs and a drama CD in the future.
