Yui (Hashimoto) is overcome with emotion when she sees the announcement that Kazami (Matsumoto Reo) and Emi (Nakamura Moriri) have won a calligraphy contest at school. Kazami comes over and invites her to do it again, but Yui stubbornly refuses. Lisapon (Tamura Meimi) from Fullmetal Alchemist also approaches, so Yui tries to avoid him, but Lisapon gives her a paper bag as a present.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with her "gal spirit" of valuing her individuality at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist.
