The sixth episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "The Royal Family" (Sundays at 9pm), starring actor Satoshi Tsumabuki, was broadcast on November 16th, recording an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) of 10.4% for households and 6.1% for individuals.
The drama is set in the world of horse racing and tells the story of a man and a racehorse over a 20-year period, where miracles are made possible through the bonds of family and friends. Tsumabuki plays tax accountant Eiji Kurisu, and the cast also includes Koichi Sato, Ren Meguro, and Wakana Matsumoto.
Episode 6 was broadcast under the title "Arima Kinen."
Kozo (Koichi Sato) announces his retirement along with Hope after the next Arima Kinen. Kurisu (Tsumabuki) is confused by his sudden retirement announcement, but after Kozo makes a confession, he struggles to support his relationship with his illegitimate son, Koichi (Ren Meguro). Meanwhile, Koichi stubbornly refuses to meet his father, Kozo, but is excited by Hope's success. And then the Arima Kinen arrives... and the story unfolds.
