It has been announced that the TV anime series " That Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling 'Shosetsuka ni Naro ," will begin airing in January 2026. The theme song artists have also been announced, with the opening theme "Gliding Claw" being performed by composer Shunryu's music project "Sizuk," and the ending theme "Sky Clipper" being performed by virtual singer and rapper Douou (TAO) and Sakujaku (SAK).
Regarding "Sizuk," he commented, "I think everyone has felt the frustration of not being strong enough, or trying to become stronger but not being able to do so successfully. Ilcia was like that at first, but with ideas, hard work, and sometimes luck, she rose to the top through experience, and I wanted to portray that kind of dandyism, the determination to see things through even if those around her don't understand. I mixed a bit of melancholy into the hard sounds and melodies. I hope you can feel Ilcia's way of life as she protects Millia and the other people in the village."
Tao said, "I'm Tao, a virtual singer/rapper, and I'll be working on the ending theme song together with Sakujaku-chan. 'Sky Clipper' is a song about moving forward into the future. I hope you enjoy this song as it follows the story's outcome, as the protagonist, who has become a dragon, wavers in his loneliness, makes choices, and what kind of future he will face."
Sakujaku said, "I sang the ending theme together with Douou-chan. I'm Saku, a fresh, pop, and cosmic virtual singer/rapper. It's been my dream to be in charge of the theme song for an anime, so I'm very happy! I sang 'Sky Clipper' with the hope that I could become like Ilcia, who grows as he overcomes difficulties. I would be happy if this song can add color to the work."
The film depicts the adventures of the protagonist, Ilcia, who has been reincarnated into a dragon egg. The anime will be directed by Yuta Takamura and produced by Gakyou and Felix Film. The cast includes Shunichi Toki as Ilcia, Ami Koshimizu as the voice of the god who guides the protagonist, and Miku Ito as the heroine, Millia.
