"Fake Mummy" Episode 2 Synopsis Released

The TBS Friday drama "Fake Mummy" (Fridays at 10pm) co-stars actors Haru and Rina Kawaei. The synopsis and stills from the second episode, which will air on October 17th, have been released.

It's the day of Iroha's (Ikemura Aoi) entrance exam for Ryuwa Gakuen Elementary School. After the written exam, all that remains is the parent-child interview, with Kaoru (Haru) disguised as her mother. Mamie (Kawaei) is at work, praying for the safety of Kaoru and Iroha.

Kaoru meets her first mom friend, Sayuri (Tanaka Minami). However, when the "eccentric mom" Reika (Noro Kayo) and others appear before the two, things take an unexpected turn...

Maika goes to "Itteki," the flagship store that sells the company's product, "Nijijiru." Tomoya (Aoi Nakamura), a teacher at Yanagiwa Academy who is a fan of Nijijiru, comes to the store. Maika responds without realizing that he is a teacher...

The script is based on the winning work by Sonomura Mitsuru, who won the grand prize at the first TBS NEXT WRITERS CHALLENGE screenplay competition. Hanamura Kaoru, who suddenly quit his job and is struggling to find a new job, meets Hidaka Makie, the company president and single mother, at an interview with the venture company RAINBOWLAB. Makie asks Hanamura to act as a substitute for her daughter Iroha, who is applying to a prestigious private elementary school, at the parent-child interview...
