Kensho Ono, Reina Ueda Suwabe, who appear in the second part of the theatrical anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash(directed by Shukou Murase), based on the popular Gundam anime series , Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash 's Flash: The Witch of Junichi Suwabe, have provided comments.
Ono, who plays Hathaway Noah, commented, "Everything is crazy. A man who has doubts about this world suffers alone, wondering what justice is and what he should fight for. "Hathaway's Flash" is based on a novel published in 1989-90 by director Yoshiyuki Tomino, known as the creator of the "Gundam" series. Set in the year 0105 of the Universal Century, the story depicts Hathaway, the son of Bright Noa, who experienced a bitter separation during the Second Neo Zeon War, piloting a new mobile suit, the XI Gundam, in a rebellion against the Earth Federation government.
It has been announced that the anime will be made into three parts, with the first part, released in June 2021, being a hit, grossing approximately 2.23 billion yen at the box office. Like the first part, the second part, "Circe's Witch," will be directed by Murase Shukou, who has also worked on "Genocidal Organ," and will feature voice actors such as Ono as Hathaway, Ueda as Gigi, Suwabe as Kenneth, and Soma Saito as Lane Aim. It will be released in 365 theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026.
