The main visual and main promotional video for the Japanese dubbed version of "Ryuuji II: The Mourner's Eyes," the second season of the popular Chinese anime "Ryuuji: The Blazing Dawn," have been released. It has also been announced that additional cast members will include Kondo Reina as Sha Mi/Natsuya and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Chu Tianjiao/Chu Tianjiao.
It was also revealed that singer ASCA will be performing the Japanese ending theme for the second season, "Giver." As with the original version, Shiro Sagisu's "WE ARE MADE" will be used as the opening theme.
ASCA commented, "I resonated with Mingfei's spirit of self-sacrifice, so I poured everything I had into the song. Together with all of you who love the dragon race, I will watch the broadcast to see where the giver ends up. I hope that 'Giver' reaches you, who cares for others and lives for them." The announcement was made at the online event "Aniplex Online Fest 2025," held on September 13th.
In the second season, Lu Mingfei, who successfully defeated the Bronze and Fire Dragon Kings, throws himself into the battle against the next of the Four Great Lords, the Dragon Kings of Earth and Mountains. It's already been a year since Lu Mingfei enrolled at Cassel Academy, and in his second year he teams up with Chu Zihan, one of the academy's most powerful dragon slayers. On their way back to Cassel Academy after completing a mission in Xin, the two meet and become allies with Sha Mi, a new student at the academy with an A-rank bloodline. The newly formed team of three embarks on a fierce mission to defeat the resurrected Dragon Kings of Earth and Mountains.
The film is based on Jiang Nan's fantasy novel "Dragon Clan," which has sold over 30 million copies. The story follows Lu Mingfei, a lonely young man who lives with his relatives away from his parents. As he nears his high school graduation, he receives an invitation to enroll at Kassel Academy, which changes his life.
The first season of the anime was produced by HANABARA Animation and has gained popularity, with a cumulative total of over 570 million views on the major streaming platform Tencent Video. The Japanese dubbed version of the first season was broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from April to June 2024. The Japanese dubbed version of the second season will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from October 8th.
