It has been revealed that actor Takao Osawa will be appearing in the new au Santaro series commercial "The Invincible Father Appears," which began airing on August 1st. This is Osawa's first appearance in the series. He plays the "Emperor of Heaven," the father of Princess Kaguya (played by Kasumi Arimura) and the ruler of the gods.
In the commercial, on a night shining with a shining full moon, Princess Kaguya mutters, "Finally this day has come," and the Emperor of Heaven descends from the moon at breakneck speed. When Momotaro (Matsuda Shota) nervously greets his stepfather whom he is meeting for the first time, he politely introduces himself as "I am the Emperor of Heaven, the king who oversees the gods of heaven." When Kaguya says, "He's quite an important man," Momotaro replies with a straight face, "In fact, I'm invincible."
Regarding his participation in the popular commercial series, Osawa commented, "It's been a while since I've been so nervous. I couldn't sleep at all (the day before filming) and I came to the set feeling really nervous. But everyone was so kind to me and I'm so grateful." He also revealed why he accepted the role of Emperor of Heaven, saying, "I wondered how they would do it, and it turned out to be really interesting. If I could participate, I thought it would be a new experience."
