The synopsis for the second episode, "Everything That Doesn't Go Right" (to air July 13th) of the TV drama series "Good Evening , This Is the Good evening, this is the Asayama family" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sundays at 10:15pm), co-starring actors Anne Nakamura and Yukiyoshi Ozawa, has been released.
One Saturday, the Asayama family is on the verge of irritation. On that day, Asako (Nakamura) has made plans to go to a junior high school trial session with her son, Haruta (Shimada Tetsuta), who is a school dropout, and her daughter, Choko (Watanabe Miyu), has plans to go to a practice game for her club baseball team.
But Haruta can't get up as usual, and Asako and Kenta (Ozawa) are preoccupied. Then, because Asako and Kenta are preoccupied with their younger brother, Choko's selfishness kicks in and she can't forgive herself for not having her lunch in her bag, and she says she won't go to club activities.
Asako and Choko are frustrated that things aren't going their way. Kenta is lashed out at them and does his best to contain the anger that is bubbling up inside him.
In the end, Asako leaves Haruta, who won't come out of bed, and goes to the trial session alone. Choko is also forced to eat her lunch by Kenta, and while swearing, she somehow manages to leave the house. However, once they're out, they each encounter an even more depressing event... Meanwhile, they receive the good news that popular actor Shinnosuke Miyama (Takezai Terunosuke) is interested in Kenta's movie project.
The drama is based on the serial diary "Going Backwards" by Shin Adachi, who also made headlines for his work on the NHK Asadora drama "Boogie Woogie" in the second half of 2023, and will be written and directed by Adachi himself. The story depicts the Asayama family of four: the father Kenta, a screenwriter; the mother Asako, who also serves as a producer for the film Kenta is directing; their daughter Choko, a high school freshman in the midst of her rebellious phase; and their son Haruta, a sixth-grader with autism spectrum disorder.
