The second episode of the NHK drama series "Hitori de Shinitai" (General TV, Saturday 10pm) starring actress Haruka Ayase will be broadcast on June 28th. The subtitle of the episode is "My boyfriend and my parents' end-of-life activities!". Narumi (Ayase), who has begun to think about "end-of-life activities", realizes that "her parents' old age will come before her own".
If your parents need nursing care, will you be the one to do it? Can you provide care while working? What about funeral expenses if they pass away? If you have to shoulder all of these things, you might think that you won't have time to think about your own end-of-life preparations.
So Narumi comes up with a plan to get his parents to start preparing for the end of their lives. He visits his parents' home with his colleague Nasuda (Hayato Sano).
The drama is an unprecedented social comedy about "end-of-life planning," based on the manga of the same name by Kaoru Curryzawa, which has been praised as a "laughable gag manga about end-of-life planning." The main character, unmarried and childless, was enjoying life alone, but after her beloved aunt dies alone, her search for a husband is unsuccessful. From there, she makes a 180-degree turn and starts thinking about end-of-life planning...
The script was written by Omori Mika, who also wrote the Asadora drama "Asa ga Kita" in the second half of 2015 and the taiga drama "Seiten wo Tsuke" in 2021.
