Actor Yu Aoi appeared live on the Nippon Television morning information program "DayDay." (Monday to Friday 9:00 am) on June 26th. She made her first TV appearance with her husband, comedian Ryota Yamazato of the comedy duo Nankai Candies, who is also the MC, and talked about her feelings for Yamazato.
In a section where they answered 10 questions, Aoi was asked, "What was your most memorable holiday recently?" to which she replied, "We went to the zoo with our family." At the zoo, Yamazato shared an episode of the fun the family had, including riding a pony.
Although Yamazato leads a busy life, Aoi said, "He comes home even for a short time, so we are able to spend time together in a cumulative manner," and revealed that Yamazato often expresses his gratitude to her by saying, "Thank you."
When asked, "What will Yamazato be like in 20 years' time?" Aoi began by saying, "This is getting serious," and then offered some advice: "Because he really loves his work. But life isn't just about work, so I want him to understand his own value in other areas as well. He's the type of person who gains confidence by working a lot, but I want him to grow as a person instead."
When Yamazato found out about Aoi's feelings, he commented, "We came as a couple. We're not father and son," but he also seemed happy.
Yamazato and Aoi got married in June 2019. Their first child, a daughter, was born in August 2022.
