Asadora"Anpan" average viewership rating for the 12th week

It was revealed on June 23rd that the weekly average viewership rating (Asadora) for the 12th week of the NHK morning drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others), starring Mio Imada , "Unrequited Justice" (June 16th to 20th) was 16.0%, tying the highest for any program (calculated from a survey by Video Research, Kanto region).

" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."

In the 12th week, Takami (Takumi Kitamura), who landed in Fujian Province, China, is ordered to work in the propaganda squad and, together with Kentaro (Fumiya Takahashi), creates a picture-story show to stabilize the public sentiment in the occupied territories. As the two spend their days creating and performing new picture-story shows, Japan's defeat becomes decisive.

One day, Iwao (Hamao Noritaka) is shot by a local boy, Rin (Shibuya Sorajiku), whom he loved like his own child, and dies. Yagi (Tsumabuki Satoshi Tsumabuki) explodes with anger that he has no outlet for. Eventually, the food shortage reaches its limit, and Taka collapses to the ground...

Meanwhile, Nobu (Imada) receives a letter from Jiro (Ayumu Nakajima). Nobu is relieved to be reunited with Jiro at the naval hospital, but Jiro has lung problems. The war situation becomes even more severe, and air raid sirens sound in the town of Kochi...
