The NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 am and others), starring Mio Imada , will enter its seventh week, "The Sea, Tears and Me," on May 12th.
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In the seventh week, Nobu (Imada), who has become a completely fanatical militaristic girl, begins to be seen as a "paragon of patriotism" after her activities of making comfort bags are featured in the newspaper.
During summer vacation, Nobu returns home for the first time in a long while to look for a job after graduation. Takashi (Takumi Kitamura), who has also returned to Gomenyocho for summer vacation, brings along Kentaro (Fumiya Takahashi). Takashi is worried about having upset Nobu over the phone, but Nobu refuses to meet him. Unable to bear the situation any longer, Meiko (Nanoka Hara) and Kentaro, with the help of Chihiro (Motoki Nakazawa), take Nobu and Takashi to the beach. The two finally make up, but...!?
