The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Nishika Hachi, which is currently being serialized on the manga app "Comic DAYS" (Kodansha). It depicts the love story that begins in 1936, when Natsumi, who was suddenly proposed to and married on zero days after dating, and Takimasa, who works for the Imperial Navy, begin their married life together.
Before taking photos at the photo studio, Natsumi learns that Takitaka will soon be returning to his ship. Feeling lonely, she is unable to ask him the things she wants to ask: "When are you leaving?", "When are you leaving?", and "When are you coming back next?"
Even though it was just before the shoot, Natsumi was not feeling well. When Takimasa, concerned, asked her, "Is something wrong?", she replied honestly, "The film will be developed around noon tomorrow."
"Please. Tell them to come and pick it up with me..."
Natsumi's unspoken wish was in vain, as Takitakado simply told her to accept it and mail it back.
When Natsumi returned home, Takitasa turned to her and said, "I'm sorry for saying something strange at the photo studio. Actually, that was..."
"In that case!" she interrupted, "That's what it is tomorrow. You said that because you couldn't say it in public. In that case, have you packed? Is there anything I can help you with? Shall I iron your things again?" she said cheerfully.
However, Takimasa said, "No, not that far..." and was unable to give Natsumi the answer she wanted to hear. "I thought so. Sorry," Natsumi said, hiding her wet eyes, and tried to evade the question by saying, "Huh? There's something in my eye. Sorry."
Takimasa gently puts his arm around Natsumi's shoulders. All Natsumi can do is mutter, "I'm lonely..."
On social media, comments such as, "I love Kyoko Yoshine Kyoko's crying performance. I find myself crying along with her," "I was soothed by these two cute girls this time, but Natsumi's tears also brought me to tears...I hope they continue to have happy days together," "There was a scene where Kyoko Yoshine says she feels lonely. I was overwhelmed with tears," "I was drawn in by her crying performance and cried along with her. I'm glad I got to know more about Kyoko Yoshine's good qualities," and "Wow! I couldn't help but cry when I saw Nami Uraraka."
