The 29th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on May 8th, and viewers reacted to a comment made by "Yam-onchan" Sokichi Yamura(played by Sadao Abe).
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobuyuki (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas and arrived at "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
It's the day of Gou's (Kanata Hosoda) send-off party. With Nobu's (Yuumi Kawai) gathers up her courage and goes to see Gou. However, they are unable to express their feelings to each other, and an awkward atmosphere flows. Afterwards, a grand send-off party is held, and Gou expresses his gratitude to the Asada family during his speech... and so it unfolds.
As the send-off party was in full swing, Kusakichi, exuding a sense of despair, spoke up about the war, saying, "Whether we win or lose, soldiers die like insects."
In the previous day, in episode 28, Kusakichi had also warned Go, "Don't try to fight bravely. Just run, run, and run away. In war, even the good guys die."
On social media, people were saying things like, "Yam is right!", "Yam is right", "Maybe Uncle Yam experienced the war?", and "Yam knows...", as well as comments like, "Yam looks so old and therefore I can't believe he served in the military...but he talks about it as if he saw it", "Is Uncle Yam from the future?", "I'm sure! Yam is from the future", and "Because he's from the future, Uncle Yam has a bad feeling about something, so his lines are quite extreme."
