A figure of Excalibur (Planet Zola Patrol Team Specification) that appears in the OVA (original video animation) of the anime "Macross 7," "Macross Dynamite 7," will be released as "HI-METAL R VF-19P Excalibur (Planet Zola Patrol Team Specification)" from Bandai Spirits' "HI-METAL R" series.
This is a three-dimensional representation of the machine that Basara Nekki forcibly piloted in "Macross Dynamite 7". It is equipped with the distinctive space-time resonance speaker units on both shoulders, and can be transformed into three forms: Fighter (aircraft), Battroid (humanoid), and Gerwalk (intermediate form). A VF-19 gunpod that was not equipped in the movie is included as a bonus part. Markings have been added to the gunpod, which was the idea of director Shoji Kawamori. The total height in Battroid form is approximately 15cm.
Pre-orders are being accepted on Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, Premium Bandai. Shipment is scheduled for September.
