Manga artist Naoki Urasawa will be appearing on the NHK Educational TV documentary program "Naoki Urasawa's Manben Neo," which takes a peek into the secrets of manga artists' creative processes. Otomo Katsuhiro, known for "AKIRA" and other works, will be appearing.
The secrets of the "Otomo touch" will be revealed from Otomo's original manuscripts, who is said to have "revolutionized Japanese manga" with his three-dimensional, realistic drawings, innovative compositions that give a sense of movement, and shocking destruction scenes. The program will delve into the behind-the-scenes story of the creation of the legendary work "Domu," which Urasawa says was "even more shocking than 'AKIRA.'" The program will also talk about the new work that fans around the world are eagerly awaiting.
It will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV at 10pm on March 29th.
