"Sandwichman & Mana Ashida's Hakase-chan " (TV Asahi) is a variety show in which children with knowledge and talents that rival those of adults give funny lessons as " Hakase-chan ." Fourteen history-loving Hakase-chan, with an average age of 12, will select "Awesome New Theories about the Warring States Period," and the program will create an original ranking based on "credibility" and "how shocking it would be to change textbooks," and announce the top 10.

The final battle between the Tokugawa and Toyotomi clans was the "Summer Siege of Osaka". However, there is also a theory that the Toyotomi clan was not destroyed. The basis for this theory is the legend that there was a "secret escape route" from the Toyotomi general Sanada Yukimura's outpost "Sanadamaru" to Osaka Castle. Soichi Nakaoka of the comedy duo "Rocchi" and Kyodai Kurihara of "Castle Hakase-chan" investigate whether the Sanadamaru escape route actually existed. The two arrived at a historical heritage from over 400 years ago.
On this day, we will also be focusing on a new theory about the famous "Battle of Ganryu Island," a duel between the swordsman Miyamoto Musashi and fellow sword master Sasaki Kojiro. We will introduce the "impossible tactics" that Musashi is said to have used against Kojiro.
