The NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others), starring Mio Imada , will begin airing on March 31st in the first half of 2025.
" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
Nobu Komatsu will play the main character (heroine) Nobu Asada, played by Imada, and Takashi Yanase will play the model Takashi Yanai, played by Takumi Kitamura. The drama will start from the childhood, with child actors Nagase Yuzuna and Kimura Yuuki playing their respective roles.
The script is written by Miho Nakazono, known for the TV Asahi series "Doctor X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon." The narrator is NHK announcer Risa Hayashida Risa, and the music is by composer and musician Izutsu Akio. The theme song is a new song by rock band RADWIMPS called "Tamamono."
The subtitle of the first week is "Humans are lonely." In the early Showa era, Nobu Asada(Yuzuna Nagase), also known as "Hachikin Onobu," is a girl who runs at breakneck speed through the town of Kochi. The Asada family has been running a stonemasonry business for generations, led by Nobu's grandfather, Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida). However, her father, Yutaro (Ryo Kase ), has no intention of taking over the business and travels around Japan and abroad for a trading company, telling Nobu, "Girls should be ambitious too."
Meanwhile, Takashi Yanai ( Kazunari Ninomiya ), who lost his father Kiyoshi (Ninomiya Kazunari) to illness when he was young, is taken by his mother Tomiko ( Nanako Matsushima) to the home of his uncle Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi), who runs the Yanai Clinic in Gomenyo-cho, and meets Nobu at the elementary school he transfers to.
Just then, a huge shock hits the Asada family.
