The movie version of the popular TV drama "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de," "Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de," (directed by Hijikata Masato) will be broadcast on Fuji TV's "Saturday Premium" slot (Saturdays at 9pm) on March 29th. The film is based on a hit novel by Higashikawa Atsuya, which won the Booksellers' Award in 2011, and was made into a TV series in the same year starring Sakurai Sho and Keiko Kitagawa. After two special dramas, the movie version was released in 2013.
Reiko Hosho (Kitagawa), the daughter of the head of one of the world's leading companies and a rookie detective, and her butler Kageyama (Sakurai) board the Princess Reiko, a luxury cruise ship owned by the Hosho family, bound for Singapore to enjoy a holiday. Reiko is excited about her first holiday in a long time, but a murder occurs on board.
Appearing there is Detective Kyoichiro Kazamatsuri (Kippei Shiina), who was on board to guard the artwork of a famous artist. In the five days leading up to the ship carrying 3,000 passengers and crew members reaching its destination, Reiko and Kageyama try to solve the case without any more casualties, but they themselves get caught up in the incident... This is the story.
Other cast members include Masatoshi Nakamura, Takeshi Kaga, Rie Miyazawa, Katsuhisa Namase, Naoto Takenaka, Shiro Ito, Masahiro Komoto, Yuka Kurotani, Jun Kaname, and Hitomi Miyauchi.
