Omusubi:Asadora fans react to the new male patient and surgeon: "Tamamoto-senpai and Fukusuke!" "I thought I'd seen this somewhere before"

The 121st episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others), starring Kanna Hashimoto , was broadcast on March 22nd, and Asadora fans responded to the new male patient and surgeon who appeared.

In episode 121, Takahiro Maruo (Gaku Hosokawa), who has stage 3 colon cancer and is about to undergo surgery, is admitted to the Osaka Shin-Yodogawa Memorial Hospital where Yui (Hashimoto) works. As he is unable to eat any food and continues to be malnourished, Yui's NST (nutritional support team) tells Haruya Inoue (Takuya Inoue), a surgeon newly transferred from a university hospital in Tokyo, to consider postponing the surgery.

However, Inoue coldly replied, "Does the NST have any say in such things?" and said that since he wasn't eating anything anyway, they could just provide him with nutrition through an IV. Maruo said that there was a possibility that it was stage 4, with metastasis to the peritoneum, and Inoue refused to budge, saying, "We need to perform surgery quickly."

Hosokawa, who plays Maruo, is known for playing Tamamoto-senpai, a member of the birdman club "Naniwa Birdman" to which the heroine Mai ( Haruka Fukuhara ) belonged in the Asadora "Maiagare!" in the second half of 2022.

Inoue, who plays the surgeon Inoue, is a regular who Asa ga Kita" (2015), "Beppin-san" (2016), "Warotenka" (2017), and "Manpuku" (2018). In "Ochoyan" (2020), he played Asadora, who married Mitsue (played by Ayaka Higashino), the only daughter of the teahouse "Okayasu".

Both of them were wearing masks in the film, but many Asadora fans noticed and exclaimed, "It's Tamamoto-senpai and Fukusuke!" "I was thinking I'd seen this somewhere before!" "Is that Tamamoto-senpai from Naniwa Birdman?" "Fukusuke becomes a doctor!!"
