Aju Makita:"I'm sad" about graduating from the role of Tominaga in "Mikami Sensei", but "I want to keep thinking about what I can do"

The final 10th episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Mikami Sensei " (Sunday 9pm) starring actor Tori Matsuzaka was broadcast on March 23rd. Aju Makita, who played Tominaga Aoi, a student in class 2, said, "Being involved in this production was a very meaningful experience both as an actor and in my life."

Makida also said, "The production staff were always considerate and listened carefully to the opinions of those around them while being sincere in their desire to convey what they wanted to do. The adult cast members were all carrying various emotions in their roles and must have had their hands full with their own concerns, but they cheered on the younger cast members, encouraged them, and watched over them warmly in an attempt to make the set better. I learned a lot from watching these adults."

She continued, "The script was filled with love," and said, "Have the courage to speak up, don't treat someone else's troubles as if they were someone else's problem, think carefully for yourself and don't be swayed by others. The troubles that each of us have are connected to everyone and to the world. I can't help but hope that this message will reach the hearts of those who are currently struggling with something alone. I want to keep thinking about what I can do. I was able to think this way because I met ' Mikami Sensei.' I'll be sad to graduate, but I'll use this as a starting point, grow, and do my best, looking forward to the day I can meet you all again."

"Mikami Sensei" is an original school drama written by Shimori Roba, who has been a major figure in the theater world, including receiving the Outstanding Director Award at the 28th Yomiuri Theater Awards. The story revolves around the "school" where children live and the "ministry" where adults struggle. This is a story of a major reversal in education revival, depicting the reality that children who dream of the future are sacrificed by the power of corrupt adults, and the story of a bureaucratic teacher and high school students in the Reiwa era who stand up against such a reality.
