The Hot Spot:Alien Mefilas becomes a trending topic with Akihiro Kakuta and Koji Yamamoto co-starring. Viewers excited by "Wow, two Mefilas" (spoilers included)

The final episode of the drama series "The Hot Spot" (NTV, Sunday 10:30 pm), starring actor Ichikawa Akihiro Kakuta, was broadcast on March 16th. In the episode, at the end, the time reaper Furuta, played by Koji Yamamoto Koji, appears in front of the alien Takahashi, played by Kakuta Akihiro. Kakuta voices the Mefilas alien in Fuji TV ONE's variety show "Ultra Kaiju Walk," and Yamamoto also plays the alien Mefilas in the movie "Shin Ultraman" (2022), which caused a stir, with "Mefilas alien" trending on social media.

In the final episode, it is revealed that Haraguchi (Tsutsui Mariko), the owner of the business hotel where Kiyomi (Ichikawa) works, and Mayor Umemoto (Rinko Kikuchi) are secretly connected. Kiyomi, Hatchi (Suzuki Anne), and Minapu (Hiraiwa Kami) uncover the corruption of the two men who are trying to make a huge profit by selling the hotel, and try to save the alien Takahashi.

Kiyomi, Takahashi and others find the scene where the owner, Haraguchi, and Umemoto are having a secret meeting. Then, with the help of the psychic Mizuki (Shida Mirai) and Takahashi, who happen to be there, they catch the bribe transfer scene, and Haraguchi and others are asked to voluntarily accompany them to the police. As a result, the plan to sell the hotel is thwarted, and the town is saved... and so it unfolds.

In the episode, after the series of disturbances has been resolved, Takahashi is talking with Kiyomi, Hatchi, and Minapoo at a cafe when a mysterious man named Furuta, played by Yamamoto, interrupts them. Furuta asks Takahashi and the others to stop the sale of the hotel and reveals that he is a Time Reaper, but when Takahashi and the others tell him, "That has already been resolved," he leaves, stunned.

On social media, there was a flood of excited comments about the scene where Kakuta and Yamamoto appeared together, such as "It's like two Alien Mefilas," "It was an encounter between Alien Mefilas!", "It was a double Mefilas," "I couldn't believe it," "I laughed so hard when Alien Mefilas (the real one) showed up," and "I thought Koji Yamamoto was drawn to The Hot Spot as Alien Mefilas, but it turns out he's a Time Reaper," and Alien Mefilas became a trending topic.
